Split Second Sound picked a perfect DJ for our wedding! DJ Matt “Mischief” Piver was professional, thorough, and exceptionally easy to work with - not to mention he became a true friend over the course of our meetings with him. Matt was an amazing DJ! He was very communicative and understanding. When we told him our theme for our gala, he was so excited and had so many ideas and that really shone through at the event! His music choices and transitions were awesome! Having speakers and music transitions can be tricky, but with Matt, we didn’t even have to think about it which allowed us to focus on other aspects of our event. Highly recommend Matt and the Split Second family! They were all so wonderful!

We used Split Second Sound for our daughters Bat Mitzvah and we couldn’t recommend them enough!! The whole planning process was seamless. The team at Split Second matched us up with the Best DJ/MC ever.. Matt P. He was so helpful/patient during the whole event planning process, guiding us and asking us thoughtful questions about our event /event space that really helped make the day of, so much smoother. As of the actual party, it’s been a week and we are still smiling. DJ Matt was the PERFECT addition to our event.. he kept the event on track, listened to every note we gave him, kept all of us calm knowing he was running the show and when it was time to open the dance floor.. every age group was up dancing till the last song played.. we honestly did not want the night to end. DJ Matt P was fantastic for our wedding! He has a great process nailed down for figuring out what type(s) of music you want throughout different parts of your wedding. It made it really easy for my husband and I to stay organized and pick music together that made our celebration feel special and uniquely ours. DJ Matt P had the added challenge of handling sound in a few different settings at our venue, including a small clearing in a wooded area for our ceremony, an outdoor patio area for our cocktail hour and an indoor venue for the rest of our reception--sound was perfect and the transition from spot to spot at our venue was smooth. Our friends and family had a great time getting on the dance floor, he MC'd just the right amount and was fantastic, friendly and professional to work with. Thank you for helping make our wedding so special!

Matt Piver did an amazing job with communicating before, after and during. A couple pre-event conversations, very helpful with the SSS site and a great job with sharing playlists and songs. During the event he was fantastic with comfortably communicating with guest for requests, MCing and announcing speakers as well as assisting in coordinating guests (pictures and various instructions). Huge help and nothing felt over the top or out of place. Basically joined the family for the evening and kept it all moving. Thanks so much Bryan and Bahar.

For our wedding there was no question who we were booking for our DJ, it was a must to book Split Second Sound! We were very impressed with the whole process Vinny has set up. He was very informative about their business and what they’re about and what they offer! The process was extremely easy and seamless from booking to planning! We went through all of their DJs and picked Matt Piver for our wedding! He was absolutely amazing! We met with him twice before the wedding and was always just a text away if we needed him for anything! Our wedding was supposed to be outside but had to be moved inside and Matt was able to pivot without issue! Our venue also was struck by lightning the night prior and kept losing power but that did not interfere with the party at the reception! Matt was super prepared and had backup battery power and the music continued even without power to our venue! Split Second is amazing in always having a back up plan and knowing them I imagine their backup has a backup! We will always recommend Split Second Sound, especially Matt P, to anyone who needs a DJ to make their party one to remember!

Matt Piver is the absolute BEST!!! From beginning to end, he exceeded every expectation we had. Our guests, friends, and family were raving about him during the wedding—and many were already asking for his contact information!! He went above and beyond by visiting tables during cocktail hour and dinner to gather song requests, making the experience even more personal and special for everyone. Throughout the night, he checked in with us (the bride and groom) at just the right moments, which we really appreciated. He played every single song we requested and completely avoided anything we didn’t want. We truly can’t thank or recommend him enough!!!!!!!

DJ Matt was AMAZING! We had him for our wedding this past June and he took the time to get to know us as a couple, our music preferences and our guests. We told him a story in passing about how early on as friends we did karaoke to “fat bottomed girls” and on our wedding day he set up karaoke for us during the dance portion so me and Zach were able to share that moment again with our guests. It was such a surprise and so so thoughtful! He kept the party going and knew exactly what the vibes were and when to play certain types of songs, our friends loved him! From cocktail hour music to dinner time and then dance time he played all the perfect music that also captured me and Zach as a couple. DJ Matt was awesome and highly recommend him!

My husband and I are very big music people and were very specific about our vendor selection going into our wedding day. When we came across Split Second Sound we really liked everything about them and what they had to offer- especially that we got to hand select our DJ, and we truly picked the best- Matt Piver! Our first FaceTime call with him went great, he was extremely kind, got to know us and listen to our wants and needs. He gave extremely valuable insights, opinions and advice for all parts of the wedding day. Closer to the wedding he was extremely flexible to our schedule for our final chat about wedding day details, and again throughout having feedback on his experiences of what does/doesn't and what will/won't work in order to ensure our wedding day goes exactly how we envision it going.. And meeting him officially in person on the wedding day, we both really felt like we already had met. We were excited to see him and work with him all throughout the day. He even took some videos and made some amazing content to share on his social media page! My husband and I recently booked Matt P. as DJ and Steven as percussionist for a community event we hosted. We could not have been happier with their performance. If you're looking for a supremely professional and excellent experience, Split Second Sound is an absolute must. We were lucky to have DJ Matt cover my mother's 80th birthday celebration! Matt nailed it! I hadn't done Master of Ceremony (MC) work in years. Matt not only coached me through my script, but was always ahead of the game to help me navigate potential pitfalls during the celebration. Excellence- from front end administration (web site is super easy to navigate) to "gameday execution". Give Split Second Sound a go, you won't regret it.

We had Matt Piver as our wedding DJ this past weekend and we had the BEST time!! I was nervous about people dancing but we had a packed dance floor all night. He played exactly what we wanted and did an awesome job mixing old and new - people could not stop telling us how it was the most fun they’d had at a wedding. A huge part of that is thanks to Matt!

He also handled the audio for our outdoor ceremony and everybody in the crowd told us they could hear it perfectly, which I feel like never happens at outdoor weddings. We would totally recommend SSS and Matt specifically!

Matt Piver really blew it out of the water with my event! I didn’t expect an MC to be so hands on during my event but he took my schedule and ran with it, keeping everything on track. When we had a couple extra surprises with the timeline, he handled it like a breeze. They honored all of my requests and requirements that I documented prior to our big day and I couldn’t be more pleased with the professionalism and level of service Matt and his assistant provided. I do need to deduct a star because unfortunately the sound equipment just didn’t match the caliber of the service that SSS provided. I’m not sure if it was due to venue limitations but it was hard to hear the music during the introductions and dinner portion and our first dance song was staticky. Also, there was a glitch in the system while everyone was on the dance floor later in the night which caused a few minutes listening to the same song on repeat. Again, I don’t know if this was something beyond their control, but the sound quality was noticed by a few guests. I would recommend SSS to anyone else who is looking for a DJ to keep their wedding day timeline on track. Just ask ahead of time if there are certain limitations with your venue and the quality of sound.
