Stevie Stix
Steven was born and raised in Queens, NY to a musical family. His father played bass guitar in the music industry while his mother played piano and keyboard. Starting out on the drums at 4 years old, he first learned to how to play to songs from The Beatles. Playing to a steady beat at a young age developed his impeccable timing. This love and appreciation of music developed into his teenage years where his style was born. Listening to Doo Wop from the 50’s, British Invasion from the 60’s, Rock and Roll from the 70’s, New Wave from the 80’s and Punk Rock from the 90’s shaped a collective and collaborative approach to playing. This continued into his late teens and early 20’s with a passion for techno and electronic dance music. This rounded out his versatility and musical knowledge which now makes his vision of playing the drums unique. Steven’s ability to play along to all genres of music by ear while being able to transition with ease from one song to the next is what can take your event to a new level. It will leave you and your guests with an experience you will never forget. Steven’s 15+ years of experience ranges from original projects, tribute bands, recording sessions and playing alongside DJ companies in the New York and New Jersey area for weddings, corporate events and all other occasions.
