Omar

Omar is originally from Shelby, NC and has been in the entertainment industry as an actor/musician for 20 years. He enjoys playing and learning all genres of music and loves to listen to jazz, gospel, and r&b. Omar got started in the industry through playing at church and fell in love with playing with the rest being history. Omar likes to describe his style as a painting style. He loves to paint a picture through his playing. Some of Omar's most recently attended event locations as one of Split Second Sound's LED Percussionists have included AC Hotel by Marriott Greenville - Greenville, SC, Ballantyne Country Club - Charlotte, NC, Merchant and Trade - Charlotte, NC, and more! In Omar's free time, he coaches football, works in his community, and spends time with my family and friends. A fun fact about Omar is that he was an extra on "As the World Turns" and in"Madea Goes To Jail". He has played on tracks for Gospel Legend/Grammy winner John P Kee and has played for other artists such as Jonathan McReynolds, Travis Greene, Casey J and more. Omar's goals for the future are to keep growing as a musician and a person. "I love playing weddings where you can feel the love and the crowd feels the music being played."
