WOW incredibly pleased with Split Second - especially DJ Charlie. Charlie is as sweet and kind as can be - from the very first meeting we had, I immediately felt seen and heard with his warmth and care in helping us create our perfect wedding day. Charlie is also extremely professional and observant. We had a guest faint at our wedding but what made all the difference was his quick action and attentiveness to the situation - making sure we could get help to the guest right away and continuously checking in to ensure everything was okay. We are so grateful for Charlie's seamless, positive, and fun energy he brought to every moment of our special day - it was truly the best and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We had DJ Charlie for our wedding. It was high energy from start to finish! Charlie understood the room perfectly and provided something that everyone can enjoy! (Even the older folks were grooving). We had Charlie from Split Second Sound DJ our wedding last weekend, and it was a BLAST! The music and the MC'ing really brought an amazing vibe and everyone loved it. Charlie was our DJ May 10th 2025 and we had actually seen him at another wedding 2 years before and knew we wanted to book him. He kept the crowd going, was attentive, and friendly with all guests. He was extremely thorough with out meetings and was a huge reason our wedding went as smooth as it did. 10/10 would recommend!

We got married May 15 in Wilmington, NC and I can’t believe how many compliments we got on our DJ/drummer duo. We had DJ Charlie and then Chuck on the drums and together, they were perfect!!! My husband and I had a very specific vision for what we wanted for entertainment and they truly exceeded our expectations. The dance floor was filled and the energy was high the entire night. Amazing DJ all around! 10/10! DJ Charlie & the Split Second Sound Team were absolutely incredible for our daughter’s Quinceanera party at The Ruth by Beau Monde. From start to finish, DJ Charlie was professional, full of energy! He kept our party timeline on track and was the perfect MC for the announcements we needed. DJ Charlie kept the dance floor full the ENTIRE TIME!!! DJ Charlie mixed the reggaeton and Latin music we wanted to hear with many guests song requests and our guests all mentioned how much fun they had dancing. Cannot thank you enough for everything you did for our wedding! You truly went above and beyond! From the beginning you understood our music choices for the wedding. You were also so great in snipping/patching our first dance song and pre mixing the Baraat playlist! For anyone who is looking for a dj that knows what they're doing for a Baraat, look no further than Charlie! He knew how mix Indian songs and even carried a portable speaker with him to ensure the Baraat was a success!!

Charlie was on point with the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! He did a great job of controlling the crowd and helping to ensure the schedule was followed to a tee. When I say no one wanted to leave the dance floor I'm not exaggerating. I had one guest come up to me and say "are you going to play any bad songs at this wedding, I can't even find a break to get a drink!" We got married at the end of May 2022, which was right in the heart of the post-COVID wedding surge. Despite how popular of a time it was to hire vendors, Rashida, our day of coordinator, and Charlie, our DJ, made us feel like we had nothing short of their full attention. I'm talking the kind of attention where we consistently got replies to our emails within the hour. Both of them were very professional and friendly to talk to both before and during our wedding. Despite the title of day of coordinator, Rashida even drove all the way out to Shelby from Charlotte the day before our wedding to conduct the rehearsal. Both of them felt very much like they were part of the wedding, giving it their full effort, rather than just providing a service in the background. Charlie really nailed the vibe we were going for in the selection of the music he played, was right on all the cues for the different parts of our wedding, and did a great job on the microphone to announce said parts (e.g. speeches, first dance, etc.). He really became the life of the event and made sure we got the dance party we were looking for. Honestly, Rashida's warmth and enthusiasm made her feel as much a guest as she was the conductor of our wedding. Everything we asked for was received with a "No problem, I've got you!" and executed with professionalism. This review wouldn't be complete without a shout out to the photo booth attendant too. So many of our guests mentioned how much fun they had taking silly photos for our guest book. Split Second Sound offered excellent value but at no compromise to the quality in the service they provided. We're extremely grateful for their impact on our wedding and would recommend you use them for your wedding as well.

DJ Charlie was fantastic! We had quite an eclectic music collection, and yet he blended everything so seamlessly that it turned out to be amazing! We played traditional Albanian music and English music with perfect alternating frequency, keeping the guests engaged the entire time. On top of that, my sweetheart and I have very different tastes in music... he likes rock, I like EDM & latin, and our first dance was a traditional waltz. We were a bit worried how this would turn out, but if DJ Charlie is your DJ, then it will turn out to be the most memorable night of dancing ever!

Words cannot describe how incredible they were. Charlie on Friday made everything work in regards to speakers and setting them up where we wanted, he was very helpful and played an amazing mix of music. Anthony today was on point with all the pool games and directed them like a pro, he also narrated them and judged them. He was super helpful and also played a great mix. Our events were successful because of these 2 gentleman and you should be proud to have them as part of your team. They rock!

I heard such good things about prom! Kids and chaperons alike said the kids were dancing and having a blast and that Charlie and his assistant did an amazing job running things smoothly and keeping them entertained. Charlie was awesome to have as part of our wedding day. He met with us the weekend before our wedding to go over last minute details. He was open to what we wanted to do and gave us advice when we weren't sure about something. I don't remember hearing our ceremony music as I was walking down the aisle, but I was told that it started and stopped exactly when it should! He worked with us when we wanted to push our timeline up so we could have more partying time and he kept the party going until the very last second! We were so so impressed with Charlie! He was absolutely amazing! I could not have asked for anything more. He went above and beyond and kept the wedding going smoothly. He was more than just a DJ. So much more. He kept the party going and was amazing on all of my requests for the ceremony on music played and when and where to start the music especially with not rehearsing it.
