We're wedding videographers and we worked with Split Second Sound on a wedding recently. DJ Giovanni was the best DJ we've come across as far as sound quality and audio clarity for the ceremony. The sound mixed for the ceremony was perfectly level with no hisses or artifacts. When it came time to announce the speeches he asked if we were ready with our cameras first before he made the announcement, which may seem like a small gesture but it's little detail that makes a huge difference on our end and is rare. The mixing he did for the dance floor music was amazing. He played a great set that kept everyones energy up,everyone was dancing like there's no tomorrow-even the grandmas and aunties. We usually hear the same songs every wedding but this set really stood out and blew us away. Highly recommend this company if you want a real DJ.

DJ Giovanni had his work cut out for him for our wedding day and he NAILED IT!! I’ve gotten SO many comments from friends and family saying what a great job he did with the music and I couldn’t agree more!! We were about as all over the place you could possibly get when it came to music we wanted to include - Latino songs for my husband’s family, Oldies from our parents and grandparents generation (both Latino and US), songs from our generation, and a few songs from our weird music taste 😊. We chose Giovanni because he is bilingual in English and Spanish, which was very important to us since we were uniting my US family with my husband’s Venezuelan/Colombian family. But even if your event is not bilingual, he will make it unforgettable!! He even put together a video of our wedding day to one of my favorite songs and had it ready for us the day after the wedding! I had mentioned really liking the song Dog Days once on one of our prep calls for the wedding and he remembered and used it as the background song for the video he made - so he is talented and thoughtful! Highly recommend him and Split Sound. We had full confidence along the way that they would be excellent and they somehow managed to exceed our expectations. Thank you Gio and the Split Second team!

We were thrilled with DJ Giovanni Dario and Split Second Sound for our daughter's wedding this weekend! We challenged Gio with a bi-lingual experience and he exceeded our expectations, keeping the fun and energy and music going in both English and Spanish. We had an eclectic bunch of music choices from salsa, to reggae, classic rock, pop, new wave, and more and he blended all of it seamlessly and got people on the dance floor. He also helped us organize groups on the dance floor with the wedding couple for photos which he made fun as well. For the ceremony, he tailored songs to start at just the spot we asked for the processional and he transitioned a traditional recessional classic into a fun hispanic reggae song just like our daughter and son in law asked. On top of all of that, we were delighted to wake up on Sunday to a brief curated video reel he put on Instagram which really captured the entire joyous evening! What a gifted person! My wife and I booked Split Second Sound for our wedding on 5/10/25, and the experience absolutely exceeded our expectations! Throughout the entire process, whether it be discovery and information gathering, picking and communicating with our DJ, and then the event itself, everything was top notch. We booked DJ Gio (Giovanni Dario) after watching his rooftop mix video, which was super fire btw. Soon after, we were in contact with him discussing our favorite types of music & things that we wanted to hear at the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance floor. Gio took all of our suggestions deeply into consideration, and came out swinging on our wedding day! He really curated the entire night perfectly to our music taste, and had the dance floor bumping the entire night. He was so smooth with it, everyone kept coming up to us saying how awesome it was. We could tell he put a ton of time and effort into making the vibe of our night perfect for us. I don’t have enough good things to say about the process as a whole, and specifically about Gio. Highly recommend!

Giovanni was our DJ for our wedding in early November. He was amazing! Communicated with us every step of the way. He made us feel confident that we could enjoy our wedding night without having to worry about a thing. Guests raved about how much fun the dance floor was. Giovanni was awesome! He allowed my now wife and I to bounce ideas off of him and give us his own feedback while also making sure we knew it was OUR day and he was going to cater the experience as best he could to what we wanted. He was super friendly to our guests, went above and beyond even at a point asking if he could help clear my wife and I’s sweetheart table so we had more room after we finished dinner. This is for DJ Giovanni Dario. So today I had an absolutely horrible day after being disappointed by a job/company I love. Feeling the beginnings of burn-out, I left midway through my shift. This is very out of character for me. I’m an ER vet nurse, I love what I do. When I got home I opened the windows and heard music from next door. I live next to Rosie’s Wine Bar and have heard my share of wedding djs this year. HOWEVER, this guy got my attention. After a while, I started joking and texting with my sister telling her I should go get his card because my mood had completely changed and I’d been dancing with my 7 month old puppy for hours, but we’ll come back to that. Now when I tell you this guy is phenomenal, I mean this guy is PHENOMENAL. To understand the gravity of what I’m saying you have to know I spent 5 years on the Gulf Coast (Orange Beach & Gulf Shores) working resort held banquets and weddings; I have heard my share of professional DJs. So at first the idea of asking for his card was a joke with my sister, (like I said I’m in the apts next door to the wedding) but then it started to rain and I was expecting him to have to stop. Instead something absolutely crazy happened. He moved seamlessly into relevant dance songs mentioning rain immediately, completely upping the vibe. Mind blowing. There’s no way he could have planned that, but it absolutely sounded like he did. That is a DJ who is paying attention and individualizing their set based on their surroundings, the vibe, and the crowd. THAT is talent. By the time the reception was over I knew I had to get his card. I waited until after the bride and groom and most of the people had left and walked down to Rosie’s and slipped into the gate, found DJ Giovanni and got his card. And told him this story 😁 Oh, and obviously I will be making some excuse to hire him asap.

I don't know if I can come up with the right words to adequately express how we feel about DJ Giovanni, but I'm going to try. We had the absolute BEST experience with Gio at our wedding last weekend. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Gio reached out a couple of months before our wedding to start going over all the details of our day, and continued to schedule check-in calls in the months leading up to our wedding. He would go over everything we had already discussed in our previous calls to ensure that he had everything down and that nothing had changed, and would note anything new that we talked about. I'm extremely indecisive, but Gio was patient with me and offered a ton of helpful suggestions and ideas that made the process so much easier for me. I was even changing song choices two days before the wedding, but Gio made sure to do/play exactly what I asked. He really listened to our music tastes and the songs that we liked/didn't like and took the time to curate the perfect playlist for us. The amount of people who came up to us after the wedding and told us that our DJ was amazing is insane. If you are looking for a DJ who will really listen to what YOU want and is truly an artist in their profession, Giovanni is the DJ for you. We sincerely hope we will see him again at future events! :)

GIO Where do I begin. He was exactly what we were looking for. I did quite a bit of research before we chose Gio. His style was perfect for our guest. He read the room!!. He communicated great. He knew just what to ask from the very first phone call. Very professional. He was able to change up when he needed to. Just wanted to send over a note on DJ Giovanny! I worked with him on 7/22/23 at Piper Glen Country Club. He was responsive and on top of it ahead of the wedding - making sure he was up to date on all of the details and thoroughly prepared for our wrap up call.

On the wedding day he was very professional and on top of everything- making sure to communicate well with me and other vendors and effectively execute timeline details. He went above and beyond to offer help to other vendors if they needed it & was very pleasant to work with!
