The evening at EVOKE was awesome! The DJ was really attentive, personable and knew how to read our crowd. I told him that it would be background music but we were pleasantly surprised when people started dancing. He was the hit of the evening and even got our C.O.O. Dancing! I was unable to attend the event, but up until the day before, any communication I had with Rasheed was great! I felt completely at ease even though I was not able to meet him on event day. He was very knowledgeable, and I had no doubts or worries leaving the job in his hands.

Richie was awesome! He really made the event better than I had ever planned. While he was professional in all aspects, he was so much fun and made our event the best wedding I've ever been to. I know I may sound biased as it was my own daughter's wedding, but the proof can be found in all our pictures. Just about everyone was up and dancing... from young to young at heart. Besides being a phenomenal  DJ - you are so nice, patient, and a true professional.   I have to tell you that you did an outstanding job at our Son's wedding.  How is it possible to please 200 people from ages 18  to about 80!  (Guessing this part!)  I noticed that your timing was impeccable in every way.    The best part of the reception was the photo reel of Diana and Brendan that was so touching, funny, raw and unforgettable.  I will never forget it.  They are perfect together in every way.   Also, I loved the fact that we saw people dance, young and old, that I can honestly say I never saw dance once! We hired Lydia to be our DJ for our wedding on May 3rd 2014. Lydia was fantastic!!! I asked her to wear something funky and bright because i did not want her to blend with our black table linens and she did just that! She had the chance to get to know me prior to the wedding and learned quickly about my quirkiness and funky style and was eager to accommodate and satisfy my fashion requests She was fun and full of energy, she engaged our guests and came to the dance floor and taught us how to wobble and do the cupid shuffle which everybody loved!!! Honestly, my event was great. Split Second Sound was awesome and I was so busy having fun that I really don't have any criticisms. This was my second event with you and I was happy both times.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lydia!!  She met with us a few weeks prior to the wedding day to get our list of songs and talk with us about the day in general.  We felt very comfortable with her!  However, on our wedding day she was not feeling well.  It is important for me to tell you how impressed I was that she even showed up, considering what she went through the night before.  I am impressed with her dedication and professionalism.  No one knew she wasn’t well!  I wouldn’t have known if she didn’t tell me.  After the wedding she sent a congratulation and thank you email to us!  This is the type of service that goes beyond your expectations!  Thank you for pairing us with someone who made our day so personal and was so dedicated to making our day special!

Michael Finch and his assistant did a fabulous job and we really enjoyed working with him, as well as Split Second in general. Michael and his assistant were both very professional the whole event, and did exactly what we wanted with getting people dancing and having a good time. We had several guest comment to Robert (my husband) and myself about the great selection of music the dj's played. We had requested no line dances be played and they stood by our request, which I am very thankful of. We could not have asked for a better music provider for our wedding.

My event on February 21 was a blast! A lot of credit for that goes to Eric J. He did a fabulous job of keeping us on the dance floor playing hit after hit! He arrived well in advance of the start time and took his time setting up. The sound quality was on point. I was particularly impressed with the black panels that he set up in front of his table. Split Second Sound is known for hosting wedding & event vendor appreciation parties. This one was hosted at the NC Dance theater in May of 2012. WCCB (then Fox) broadcasted live their show "Fox news edge" that Friday night hosted by Matt Harris & Joey Hewell.

We asked Split Second Sound to help us out and for a VERY reasonable fee we had someone come to the ceremony to help with the music. The week before the wedding I was incredibly stressed and they made my life so much easier by being there in this way. An hour before I walked down the aisle the man running the music came and talked to me about what part of the song I wanted played. He was so kind and so calm and understood that I was flustered. He made my day perfect and so did his partners at Split Second Sound.  Do yourself a favor and save stress on the music. If you choose these guys you will be happy with your choice. We were very happy to have worked with Michael Finch. We received quite a bit of feedback during and after our wedding about how comfortable and seamless the night was. This was, no doubt, largely due to the fact that he listened closely to our request for a comfortable flow to the evening's events. Our event was a huge hit thanks to Eric and Split Second.  Throughout this whole process Eric was incredibly professional from meeting with us to go over music, getting a feel for our needs and what Elliot wanted, answering any follow up questions quickly and thoroughly, detailing the event scheduling and format, asking what we did and didn’t want to do, and making recommendations.  At the event Eric and his music assistants were fantastic.  Everyone was up and dancing all night and two days later my knees still hurt.  He played a great set list with something for everyone and the event went incredibly smoothly.  I know the people from NY and Florida who are used to big affairs were very impressed, and the locals who are used to something a little more subdued had a great time.  In the end it’s the music and emcee that make a party fun and on that note you guys get an A+. We had a package with two DJs for our wedding. They handled our ceremony, cocktail, and reception music, and kept all activities on time and kept the party motivated. The music was a perfect mix for our eclectic group, and Mark was the perfect orchestrator of it all. We have been to other parties with SSS, and all were equally spectacular despite having different DJs at each one. We will definitely recommend to others!

Everything from the meeting before the wedding all the way to the day of the event was wonderful. The pre-wedding meeting with Michael was very easy to schedule. He was on time and the meeting was efficient and productive. We talked about the whole wedding in about 30 minutes and he gave great suggestions when we were stumped for a song to use. It was very helpful to have his advice when choosing key songs as his experience definitely showed. Michael obviously took good notes because the music was exactly what we wanted! On the day of the wedding, everything was set up as expected on time. We didn't give Michael any specific songs to play and just overall direction of how we wanted the night to go and I couldn't have picked any better songs. Everyone was out dancing and having a ball. It was great to have 2 dj's there and one even came down and taught everyone how to wobble when one of the guests requested the song. Everyone loved it! We have gotten so many compliments on the music and how perfect a lot of the songs were. We couldn't have done it without y'all! Additionally, I felt like he didn't overpower the fun with lots of talking and announcements and just let the night proceed naturally so everyone could have a great time. Overall, great experience and will definitely be recommending y'all to our friends! Thank you for making our special day even better!

Split Second Sound was the PERFECT DJ to have at my wedding. John H was our DJ and he made sure everything was done to my specifications. We chatted on the phone for numerous hours developing a timeline for the reception, what songs we specifically wanted to play, as well as the songs we specifically DID NOT want to play. Most of all, he was the greatest motivator for all of our guests. He was so amazing that all 150 wedding guests were out on the floor at one time dancing. We even broke the dance floor because we were dancing so hard ;)

Wow, what a great Sweet 16 party we just had for our daughter!  Great because of the energy created by Split Second Sound, which I have to say was amazing.  Not only did 65 teenagers dance for 4 straight hours, but my 80-something mother-in-law was even caught "head-bopping" throughout the evening.  Every one who attended our party went away with a smile and a big THANK YOU, and I have to say I give credit to my wife, who planned the party, and Split Second Sound, who made it complete!  What I was most impressed with was the high-tech/high-end equipment that was used by the guys.  Initially, I thought we were going to get the typical "backyard DJ" at our party, but I was extremely and pleasantly surprised at all the equipment used, including lighting, video monitors, and the high-end sound system!  We'll DEFINITELY be using these guys again for future parties.........I may even have my wife start planning one now! As you know, we are new this year and had to scramble a bit to plan for our prom. Since we have no senior class and most of our students come from larger schools, we didn't want them to feel like they were missing out on anything. One thing that almost got lost in planning was a DJ. You know you have to book the location and DJ well ahead of time and we were not able to do that. We called Split Second Sound & DJ Svc and they were available and we are so glad they were. All the comments I've heard were the prom was nice but the DJ was great. The students came and stayed and danced all night. The DJ had live video feed where the kids could see themselves as well as music videos and he really got them dancing. Anyway, sorry to sound like a commercial, but if you need a DJ for prom or anything else, call them. They really made our prom a success!"

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for such a great time at our wedding on Saturday. We had nothing but compliments on how professional, fun, and energetic you guys were. The variety of music, special requests, interaction with all the guests, and the extra time you took to go through all the details with us is very much appreciated. You guys did a phenomenal job, and I hope your trainee learned a lot on how a wedding reception should go.
