Desiree has had a passion for dance her entire life. At age five, she started at her mother’s dance studio in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and performed and competed throughout all her teenage years. At fifteen, she began as an assistant teacher for beginner dance classes, and by sixteen taught on her own. She taught various age groups, from children as young as three to senior adults, as well as various styles such as hip-hop, tap, ballet, jazz, acrobatics, core barre, etc. She has also taught master classes for other studios, dance classes for summer camps, and hosted ballet birthday parties for the YMCA. Still today, Desiree teaches and loves every part of it. When she is not dancing, she loves to write poetry and fiction, and currently she is working toward her major in English by attending classes at UNCC. Desiree loves to encourage people and watch them have a good time through the art of dance.
