Split Second Sound is one of the best DJ's out there! We recently had a wedding with one of their amazing DJ's and he kept the party going all night! A great DJ is essential to get the best dance photos and Split Second Sound delivers every time! We always get excited when we get to work with them.

I cannot recommend Split Second Sound and DJ Mike City enough! They are extremely communicative to ensure they grasp the needs of your event and they provide excellent service from requests made. They provide a variety of options for any event you may have, which was essential for us when booking music for our wedding. They helped us stay in budget while providing EXACTLY the atmosphere we needed for our special day. I also cannot say enough good things about DJ Mike, he was essential to our guests calling our wedding "the best wedding ever!" He not only captured the dancing vibe we requested but also added to the atmosphere perfectly by engaging our guests. 10/10 recommend, hire them!!

Split Second Sound, specifically Chad, DJ'd our wedding at the end of September and I felt compelled to leave them a review (albeit a bit late, sorry!). They were so easy to work with throughout the entire process, which if you've been through the wedding planning process, know how incredibly valuable that is. They took the time to get to know us and how we wanted our wedding to go off so I know they don't just have a 'one size fits all' for every wedding. They truly tailor to the couple and the vibe of the event and the night was absolutely incredible. Chad got there with plenty of time to set up, connect with the other critical vendors, communicate clearly with our wedding planner, nailed the pronunciations of the names for the walkout and kept the energy super high during the reception. Recommend SSS for any meaningful event in your life!

I don't know if I can come up with the right words to adequately express how we feel about DJ Giovanni, but I'm going to try. We had the absolute BEST experience with Gio at our wedding last weekend. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Gio reached out a couple of months before our wedding to start going over all the details of our day, and continued to schedule check-in calls in the months leading up to our wedding. He would go over everything we had already discussed in our previous calls to ensure that he had everything down and that nothing had changed, and would note anything new that we talked about. I'm extremely indecisive, but Gio was patient with me and offered a ton of helpful suggestions and ideas that made the process so much easier for me. I was even changing song choices two days before the wedding, but Gio made sure to do/play exactly what I asked. He really listened to our music tastes and the songs that we liked/didn't like and took the time to curate the perfect playlist for us. The amount of people who came up to us after the wedding and told us that our DJ was amazing is insane. If you are looking for a DJ who will really listen to what YOU want and is truly an artist in their profession, Giovanni is the DJ for you. We sincerely hope we will see him again at future events! :)

I can’t thank Chanel, DJ SMYLEE, enough. She absolutely crushed our wedding. She was professional and on top of all the details of our wedding from the moment we spoke to her. She played all of the songs we requested, and at the appropriate times. She helped coordinate and announce different parts of the wedding, keeping everything on time and moving along. Our experience, overall, was 5 star with Split Second Sound. The booking process was very personal. Booking was also very easily guided so we were able to book the proper package within our budget. They have add ons that make it easy to complete your overall wedding vibe. About 2 weeks before the wedding, we had a one-on-one Video call with our DJ. Keith Velez was our wedding DJ. Immediately we felt like the chemistry was there. He totally understood what we were looking for. I had so many specifics for him and he told me " I completely get it, Its going to be perfect." Keith Delivered! We had the night of our lives. He was not only a fantastic DJ, but he was able to flow our entire reception so perfectly. I 100% recommend!

My husband and I used Split Second Sound to DJ our September 2023 wedding. We worked with DeAngelo, and he was absolutely incredible -- from our prep calls all the way to our final dance. We danced ALL night long, and everyone has consistently commented on how much fun our DJ was. We would one thousand percent recommend Split Second Sound.

As a videographer, I always have a sense of relief when I see that we are working with a dj from Split Second Sound. They are all professional, go above and beyond to make sure we capture the best audio for the couple, and always get the dance floor moving (we get some great footage this way!). It always feels like we are working with a teammate. Would highly recommend Split Second Sound.

To put it simply, DJ's Derek and Rasheed made our wedding one of the most amazing nights of our lives! From the very beginning of this whole wedding planning process I have always said the most important thing to me was that everyone had an amazing time, and because of them I was able to accomplish that. From the time Rohan and I had our meeting with Vinny (the founder of Split Second Sound) I had very high hopes for my wedding and reception, and they did not disappoint. Derek reached out to us a few weeks before our wedding and he basically made our itinerary for us (very much appreciated since we did not have a wedding planner and had no clue what we were doing) and he helped keep everything running smoothly for that entire evening. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and the fact he was so on top of things and kept us in line was amazing since that last week Rohan and I were overwhelmed and just all over the place. (He even reminded me to print out my place cards!) He seriously went above and beyond. Then the ceremony and all started and the rest was history. We felt like we didn't really have to do much because he ran the entire evening. We literally felt like guests at our own wedding... and it was great! The music was amazing and the dance floor felt like it was never empty. Rohan grew up in Botswana so he had requested they play some Kwaito music and they even were able to incorporate that into our reception. At the end of the night we basically had to make people leave because everyone had such a great time. I just can't even express how much I appreciate the work they put into making our day so wonderful. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone planning a wedding!

Matt was incredible! Ian & I want to express our sincerest thanks for making our wedding night an absolute blast! His music selection, energy, and skill were beyond amazing, and we’ve had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve been to. Matt truly set the perfect mood for the evening by really getting to know us prior to our event. He asked detailed questions to ensure he understood our personalities and our vision for the wedding. His ability to read the room & reduce any awkward or uncomfortable moments was appreciated, and we had so many epic dance floor moments that we and our guests will remember forever. Matt's professionalism and enthusiasm from the planning stage to the last song of the night made the whole process a breeze. We appreciate the attention to detail and how our song choices were incorporated seamlessly into the mix. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him, and we're so grateful to have had Matt as our DJ. We've received so many compliments about his performance, and we're thrilled to have him as a part of our cherished wedding memories. Matt helped us create an unforgettable night. He rocks, and we'll be recommending him and Split Second Sound to anyone in need of an awesome DJ without hesitation! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing. We were indecisive about having a band or DJ. When we found split second, the decision was made. We had DJ Steve and he was absolutely amazing to work with. He was so easy going and kept the energy going all night. We also had the LED drummer and Saxophone player - which was the BEST! We also did the ceremony package with a violinist and it was everything we were working for. We highly recommend working with Split Second Sound for any upcoming event you may have.

I highly recommend using Split Second Sound for your music needs! The staff are kind, easy to work with, and flexible with your needs. We had DJ Chuck (Carlos Castillo) for our wedding, and I cant say enough amazing things about him. He is talented and professional, so much fun, and got my guests dancing as soon as the music started! We had an amazing experience with Split Second Sound from the very start and would 100% work with them again!

Split Second Sounds was amazing from start to finish. Their company as a whole is admirable. I was very indecisive in the beginning and they were kind and understanding. I was originally assigned to DJ Todd with no MC. We had a call and chatted for a while about all of my expectations and he was great! Unfortunately, a few days before the wedding, Todd had to be replaced due to some serious health issues. They assigned my wedding to DJ Matt and included an MC at no extra cost to make sure the day ran smoothly. They made the transition quickly and seamlessly. I didn’t feel stressed at all! I chatted with Matt for about an hour going over the timeline. An hour. That is all Matt had to go off of and the day went PERFECTLY. We had a party crowd and my only request was to keep the dance floor full all night. DJ Matt and MC Cliff were phenomenal. It was the party of my dreams!!! There were all ages on the dance floor all the way up until the last song. The photo below was the last song of the night and something I will remember forever.

Fun, Considerate, Warm, and Celebratory!

From the moment my husband and I booked with Split Second Sound, they were incredible to work with. We had an initial phone meeting to discuss important information like our date, our music style, and what we wanted from our DJ. Based on the information, Split Second partnered us with Chanel - "DJ Smylee" - for our day. When we started our meetings with Chanel closer to our wedding day, we knew from the first moment we spoke to her that she was going to make our day absolutely perfect! She had our music style down PERFECTLY and had both sides of the family (a very multi-racial and multi-ethnic wedding) dancing all night! She was engaging, funny, and incredibly warm throughout our meetings, but also on our actual wedding day.

If you are in the Charlotte area and need a DJ for your next event LOOK NO FURTHER! Hired SSS for our wedding this September and could not have been any happier. We planned our entire wedding in NC from Long Island, NY and SSS was nothing but accommodating and understanding. We had 3 date changes and 2 DJ changes throughout the planning process, and working with the team through these changes was amazing. Never once were they frustrated or annoyed. We truly felt that they wanted they best for us, and we completely trusted in Split Second for our special day. They truly welcome you into their family. DJ Vinny ROCKED our wedding and our guests never left the dance floor. We still, 3 months later, hear about how fun our wedding was and that Vinny truly understood what our guests were looking for.
