On Thursday, June 24th, the
world’s first nonprofit wedding wish granting organization, Wish
Upon a Wedding threw a launch party for the Carolinas chapter. Their
mission is to provide weddings at destinations across the United
States for individuals facing life-threatening illness. Wish Upon A
Wedding provides a chance
for couples to enjoy a very special day, without any thoughts
of existing health issues, while surrounded by their closest family and
friends.A lot of the top event and
wedding industry professionals were on hand, dedicating their goods and
services for the cause. Those who helped sponsor the event were
displayed on our large screen, and we happened to get a shot of our logo
while it was being displayed. Here, LeVar, one of our very
talented lead MC/DJ's, motivates the crowd to enjoy themselves as he
showcases his natural gift on the microphone. DJ Neil in the background,

Vinny & Julia rocked a wedding for a family Vinny DJ'd the sister's wedding over 5 years ago. It was held at 12 W Main Street in Thomasville. Mixed with old and young, we played big Band and the Tennessee waltz all the way to Lady Gaga and Black Eye Peas and everything in between for this 6 hour wedding and reception. Julia got called such a "live wire" with all her energy and she was the life of the party so her new name is J-Live. A star is born.... read more »

Split Second Sound is very fortunate to work with so many professionals with vision, talent and great work ethics in the Charlotte area as well as some outside areas. It not only makes us better, but we know our clients are going to get the very best care (and the jobs are fun too). Some people may think it's easy to plan a wedding, to decorate it, to take creative pictures or have the perfect flow to an event. Even after a 1000 weddings in the last 5 years, we can honestly say it's not! One reason Split won't consider taking on Photography, Videography, planning or anything else, because we are truly not professionals in those areas. We don't just do things because you can charge a few bucks. Working with true artists, as I call them, is a pleasure and makes us even better which in turn make the entire event better.A true wedding/event professional has a certain talent, a knack for making things work out, for working with other professionals and bringing out the best in everyone involved. They care, it's their living. Their name and reputation goes into every event and every referral when they tell their client about another industry professional. Not every event goes according to plan. But to the guest and client, you will never know if you have a professional as your vendor. The ends results are almost always perfect... read more »
