Joey’s love for DJ’ing began at the age of 15, while on a family trip to Italy and having the opportunity to work at it for 2 months. At the age of 19 he began to DJ for a friend’s local company on Long Island NY, learning more and more as his passion grew with it. As one of the original four members of Split Second, Joey’s experience grew and so did his expectations. He strives for perfection at every event from his appearance, to his set up and to how he handles the event. Joey is the MC/DJ that will make your dream reception a reality- hence his nick name, Joey Dreamer. Joey is one of our most versatile MC/DJ’s. He can speak Italian, play any style of music, and mix a smooth party… Joey can do it all!
In fact, Joey won the 2010 Lifetime Achievement award and in 2011, won the Most Consistent DJ award. Now, Joey is entering his 10 year with Split Second Sound.

9 March 2013 Erin and I would like to thank you for a job exceptionally well done at our Founders Hall wedding on Saturday night.

You were with us every step of the way from the start of the process to throughout the wedding. We thank you for reaching out immediately after we booked our event with Vinny, meeting with us on your day off to review event details, for reviewing the detailed timeline prior to the wedding, for graciously allowing us to make a last minute change to the parents' dance, and for keeping us informed of where we were on the overall timeline during the event as needed. We worked with you to set expectations for how long we wanted to perform our first dance and the hava nagila, asked that you please pronounce my father's last name correctly, and to ensure everyone had a blast. You came through with flying colors, as the feedback from our family and friends has been nothing short of fabulous. Everyone has said it was a fantastic, beautiful event. Again, we thank you for playing a lead role in making this important milestone event in our lives such a wonderful success.

7 July 2012 AMAZING DJs!! Split second played a huge part in making our wedding so successful!! We booked Joey for our wedding- he was very prompt, took the time to make sure he pronounced names correctly and made sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. We did not have to worry about anything! Joey was also great with taking requests for songs (even checking with the bride and groom before playing them!) and getting the whole crowd up and dancing! You will not regret your decision to choose this company!!

17 December 2011 Split Second Sound was absolutely amazing. My DJ's, Joey and Levar, were amazing. They made my wedding reception flow perfectly and I couldn't have asked for better DJ's. My wedding was no alcohol and they still got people on the dance floor! Any questions I had were responded to same day via email. They have many different package options for every budget. They made sure to call the week before the wedding and do a step by step walk through with me so I knew exactly what was going to happen. I didn't have to worry about anything on the wedding day and it was perfect!

Everything was wonderful! Joey is absolutely wonderful, of course! He was there super early to make sure everything ran perfectly, and it did. He did exactly what he said he would do-- which was make sure the day was exactly how the bride and groom wanted it to be! I have to say from the first introductions at the office to the end of the wedding night, nothing but FIRST CLASS treatment. The DJ selection was easy, Joey was fantastic! The music selection was easy... we had a little of everything. The ceremony was flawless. The party was hopping. I have pictures of 150+ people dancing and having a blast! We would like to thank Joey and Jonah for the INCREDIBLE job they did at our wedding reception. We had a very diverse crowd and they were able to accommodate everyone's interests! Joey kept everything running smoothly and communicated very well with us. He let us know what would be coming up, when it would take place, and what we needed to do. He was also willing to be flexible if we wanted to wait longer for the next part of the reception. Everyone LOVED Jonah! He was fantastic as a party motivator! He was very friendly and just wanted everybody to have a great time...and we did!! We did not give Joey very specific guidelines, but he managed to pick perfect songs to keep the party going! EXCELLENT JOB GUYS!
