Joe O’Brien is originally from the Philadelphia area. He has always shared a love for music and entertainment, and has even worked at the radio station WMMR with Pierre Robert in Philly. Joe first DJ'd in 1996 and worked for a large, well known mobile DJ company doing weddings, holiday parties, reunions, anniversaries and birthday parties. He worked with this company until 2000 when he moved to South Florida. In Florida his passion continued and he worked with many gigs from Holiday Isle, Ilamorata Key to Palm Beach. Moving to the Charlotte area five years ago, he continued entertaining guests at events and is thrilled to be working with Split Second Sound entertaining the crowd and having fun.
Joe is a very conservative music DJ and handles mostly religious or conservative type events and weddings.

We wanted to take a minute to thank you for a OUTSTANDING performance Saturday at our daughters wedding at the Levine Museum of the New South. At the end of the evening, it was rushed and we did not get a chance to thank Joe and Eddie personally. We would go as far as to say they made the party ! They made sure everything moved smoothly and got everyone up and dancing. Thanks for a terrific performance, you were wonderful !!

23 July 2011 We certainly could not have asked for a better reception or DJs. Everything went so smoothly and we had an absolute blast! We loved the music selection and how you got both young and old guests out on the dance floor. It was so wonderful to see so many people having such a great time! 18 June 2011 Just wanted to say how much we loved Joe O. He did a fantastic job with everything and everyone seemed to be having a really great time. He accommodated music requests from our guests while also playing everything that my husband and I wanted to hear and avoided the "do not play" songs. Our whole reception went very smoothly thanks to Joe and we had a blast. Give a big thanks to Joe for us and everyone at Split Second Sound for working with us!

I got married June 11, 2011 and used Split Second Sound as our DJ. We had Joe O and Eric and they were wonderful! They played a variety of music and kept our guest on the dance floor all night. The party was so great we didn't want to go anywhere else after the reception! and that was our goal. My husbands brother used Split Second Sound six years ago and he told us that our DJ's were just as good as Vinny (the owner of the company) which shows that the training they go through is exceptional!

My husband and I were married on March 13, 2011 using Split Second Sound. We knew Joe through church, so he was a great match for our needs. We weren't looking for the typical wedding party environment, and requested music for to match. In addition, we also wanted to incorporate my husband's Cuban roots with various songs. Joe did a great job incorporating all of our requests and managing his time since the reception was shorter than average. SSS is very professional and responds quickly to your questions. Would highly recommend!
