Vinny and Diane were out at Fuddruckers having dinner with the family when they met Rashaad. Diane swore that Rashaad was a DJ based on how he spoke on the mic and also how he interjected fun in the announcing of the orders being ready. When they heard him say “Yo- my cousin Vinny, your orders ready” they knew they wanted to learn more. That was in 2003 and Rashaad has been with Split ever since. Rashaad is a natural when it comes to entertainment. He is witty on the mic, knows how to command a crowd’s attention and also how to manage an event. His style is a lot of fun mixed with humor and he has a personality that everyone falls in love with. He loves to entertain and it’s very evident in his performances as his energy is infectious. If you want a mellow party, he's not the man as all of Rashaad's party are high octane!

27 April 2012 We were referred to Spit Second Sound from the mother of a bride that had Vinny as a DJ at her daughters wedding. Within minutes of talking to Vinny, I knew i was going to go with Split Second Sound. While talking to Vinny about what I wanted, didn't want, and budget, I realized Vinny himself was out of our price range. We discussed packages and DJ's and he assured me they all come highly recommended by him. I can not stress enough that it does not matter what your budget is for your entertainment, you are getting THE BEST. With that thought in mind, Rashaad and Joey were better than I ever could have imagined!! Rashaad has a HUGE personality that you notice before he even opens his mouth to talk. From our initial meeting all the way to the day of, he was attentive, professional and super responsive when we had questions. Rashaad and Mike did everything perfectly! Just as Rashaad's online reviews boast, he's an amazing MC and REALLY gets the party going! When I met with him and explained that I thought it might be difficult to DJ for our reception because we had so many international guests, we threw out some ideas together on music and he made sure everything went smoothly. Even his funny commentary on our first dance, the drunk guest who dropped the glass on the floor, and the introductions made our reception so memorable. Everyone said this was the most fun wedding they've ever attended and I credit that to Rashaad and Mike.

We just wanted to write a quick email thanking Rashad, and your company, for making our wedding day an absolute blast!

Not only did Rashaad play the music we asked, he kept the crowd upbeat while also facilitating the tedious details of the reception. We had met with Rashaad prior to the event and felt as if he would do a great job- but he exceeded our wildest expectations. After the wedding, the guests raved about how fun he was and how they had never been to a wedding where the D.J. worked so hard and added so much pizazz to the night. He brings a sense of humor to his work, a trait that our crowd really loved. Long story short, he was a hit with everyone at the reception (even the waiters and waitresses).

We are confident in saying that without Rashaad, our night may not have been so much fun- nor gone as smoothly as it did.

7 August 2010 We had a bit of a crisis on our hands with the previous DJ that we booked through another company. He called me within two weeks of our wedding to tell me that he could not do our wedding anymore. As you can imagine, we were a little upset. I called Vinny with Split Second Sound and within the hour he called us back to fit us in last minute. He was extremely professional and understanding. We were very relieved to have a DJ at our wedding on short notice especially with such a quality company. We met with our MC, Rashaad, and went over our list of songs and run of show the same week. He performed them all with perfection. He had a great attitude and did a great job of getting everybody on the dance floor. We would really recommend anyone looking to use Split Second Sound for their wedding or other event. We were extremely pleased with everything from beginning to end.

Every single guest has told my husband and I how great the "party" (which, for the majority, means the dance/music time) was. Rashaad did a great job making sure everything was covered. We had a bunch of conversations prior to the event to ensure that all the songs we wanted were played and to make sure he understood how the reception was gonna flow. He could not have done a better job! He was on top of things from the onset. He did a great job getting everyone involved and kept the reception upbeat. We were hoping for more of a party atmosphere rather than some stiff gathering and he was able to give us just that.

I would definitely use them again for an event or recommend them to a friend needing DJ services! All of our expectations were met and exceeded! Mellisa and I can't thank Rashaad and Eddie enough for doing a great job at the reception. We had a great time and everyone we talk to tells us the same.
