is originally from New Jersey and it’s there where he broke into the professional Mobile DJ scene. Although he does not have a music degree or was never in a band, Dennis was always the guy that handled the music. From turning his parents garage into a make shift club early in high school, hosting “house” parties in college, to huge backyard events… it was all about the music. “DennisFest” was his brain child. It encompassed a live band, a ton of people, fireworks and Dennis spinning the tunes for an annual all-day/night party at the house. Like most mobile DJ’s, Dennis started working for a company. He listened to the advice of his family and friends and went off on his own, creating Life’s A Party DJ Entertainment. Dennis has a passion and respect for what he does. His enjoyment comes from people having fun at his parties. His business model was simple: give people exactly what they want, involve them in the planning process and deliver the best performance. In June 2009, It was apparent that he shares many of the same business philosophies and visions as Vinny and Diane. Dennis decided to bring his DJ business over to Split Second Sound DJ Services. Together they have embodied the spirit of a full service company that goes beyond just being a DJ. Dennis is also involved in charitable events that give back to the Charlotte community. He is one of the organizers of an annual golf outing that benefits A Child's Place here in Charlotte, NC. A Child’s Place works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education. Dennis regularly volunteers his services to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He’s provided entertainment and was the MC for the Stride and Ride event, brought the Wii party to the Muscle Team event at the Bank of America stadium and does a Dance Party for the MDA summer camp.

13 April 2013 Dennis was wonderful and he did an amazing job. I couldn't have been happier. I was nervous about my reception because I didn't know a lot the guests at my wedding, so it was important that he played music that appealed to everyone.He did just that. Everyone had such a fun time because he was able to read the crowd so well. I shouldn't have worried at all!

Dennis and his assistant were phenomenal. They listened to our needs and wants and still kept the party flowing throughout the night. We had requested a couple of artists that were not “normal” wedding reception songs and Dennis was still able to weave them in without it sounding forced or out of place. He was beyond professional and we truly enjoyed having him as part of our night.

14 July 2012 Split Second Sound recently sent a DJ and party motivator to our wedding on July 14, 2012. Dennis was amazing and very professional! He reviewed in detail an outline of our wedding and his role as the DJ. Dennis came prepared. He listened to the music choices we selected and made sure to play the songs we wanted and to omit those we asked not to be played. The music was a great mixture and everyone in our wedding was on the dance floor the entire night! We are so happy that we selected Split Second Sound and would highly recommend Dennis as your DJ. 2 June 2012 I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dennis and Split Second Sound! Dennis called me several different times in the weeks leading up to wedding to go over my reception and at every conversation, he made me feel more and more comfortable. He asked all the right questions and showed his experience, which put me at ease during the stressful time crunch leading up to our big day. He made sure he had all the songs we requested beforehand and he worked with me to make sure they had a mix song my brother created for my dad/daughter dance. At the reception, they did not disappoint!! They ensured that everything I planned went in the proper order and worked closely with my photographer, videographer and country club coordinator so that I didn't have to stress one bit. People were on the dance floor all night and everyone told me afterwards that this was one of the best weddings they had been to. I credit a lot of those remarks to Dennis and Split Second Sound and am so grateful that I chose them to DJ my wedding. I recommend them to any bride out there!!

Dennis did a great job! He instructed our parents and bridal party on exactly what they needed to do during the intros. He was able to play our intro songs with only about a 20 minute heads up. He came around often to see if we needed anything. He played a lot of the songs on our list. And he played an extra 30 minutes for us. And I think at one point I gave him a look that I didn't like a song he was playing and he quickly transitioned into a new one :) Not sure we could have asked for anything more. He was super calm and just came across like he knew exactly what he was doing...we felt like we were in good hands.

12 May 2012 From the first time we saw Split Second Sound at a bridal show we knew we had to have them for our wedding. A few months later we attended another bridal show and Dennis was the DJ for split second sounds running the show, we instantly knew he was who we wanted. We can not express how helpful Dennis and Lydia were with everything on our wedding day from helping walk the flower girl down the aisle to helping cover up the fact we forgot a cake cutting knife to just simply making sure we as the bride and groom were doing good. Dennis is a great guy who truly has a passion for DJing and making sure your wedding is magical. He went above and beyond asking myself and Mike if he could get us drinks and at one point during dinner I think he even offered to refill our plates. I can't say enough great things about Dennis and the amazing job he did. Our family and friends keep saying what a great party it was. I was also very pleased with the perfect volume of the music. As Bonterra is a smaller place I was a little worried that it might be too loud or soft (as I have been to wedding with both issues) but it was PERFECT! The uplighting was amazing as well. The whole idea of our wedding was against the grain! We didn't want the typical country club setting and bland food...and we sure didn't want people sitting down! We wanted everyone to have a great time all night, and that is what we got- even the grandparents were up dancing! They offered great options, versatile DJs and good pricing.

9 July 2011 Dennis & Derek did a great job! We were very pleased with both of them and they were able to accommodate our wishes and were very professional. One request we had was to have one of Erin’s uncles sing a song at the wedding which is kind of a family tradition of theirs. He was able to make that work which was very cool. Our wedding reception was fantastic and Dennis played a very big part of making that happen. He was extremely organized, professional, and made us both feel very comfortable during our reception. 21 May 2011 We feel that Dennis did an amazing job with the music. He got everyone involved and gave everyone an opportunity to contribute to the music that was played at the event. Every single person in that room loved the music, including one of my bridesmaids who herself is getting married in January and decided based on our event to chose Split Second for herself. He took what we talked about at our meeting and put it into action, there were no songs that were played that we don't like. They were even able to put in the Horah in a way that made sense and made it seem like it was just another song, not the religious song it is. We loved the reception (even more so than the ceremony) and the one reason for that was Dennis and Split Second Sound.

Everyone I spoke with said the music was great, he played what people asked him to play, he stuck to his word about what I wanted played, and I thought he did a fabulous job. 3 April 2010 Nick and I had so much fun at our reception and were very impressed with Dennis and Derek! They did a fantastic job. Our contact before the wedding was very good. We met in person to go over the sheet that we had filled out and then Dennis called me the Tuesday before the wedding to make sure there were no changes. Everything we wrote on our reception sheet was done and I did not have anything to worry about!!
Dennis and Derek both handled themselves professionally. We had several comments from our guests that this was the first wedding where the DJ was not annoying and inappropriate. They were great -- our guests were dancing all night and we had so much fun! We also had several comments about how smoothly the reception went. There was never any confusion and the whole night flowed perfectly.
Our overall experience was fantastic and we will definitely be a reference for you guys. We had so much fun dancing the whole night and we were just very impressed with how the evening flowed. 14 April 2012 Ryan and I have been ecstatic about having Split Second Sound at our wedding- all the reviews we've heard/read and word of mouth from our venue and photographer already had us excited! Then we met and visited with Vinny and he sold us even more on why they were the DJ's to have at our wedding! We both work in a sales related business and the way Vinny talked up his company, his staff, the education and training they go through and what they do at weddings, definitely made us feel like there was no way we couldn't use them! They have so many levels of service they can provide for your big day at the most reasonable prices! Since we signed on with Split Second Sound months in advance of our wedding, things were quiet until a month before the wedding when we got to meet Dennis and discuss what we wanted to happen. Immediately, Dennis felt like a family member to me- both being Italian and northerners, LOL. Dennis made us both feel very much at ease and even more excited for our upcoming day! He told us the most important thing about our wedding is us. We've had a lot of hiccups on our way to the big day and he promised us that he would ensure that the party didn't stop on 4/14/12! I have to say- he kept his word! Before the wedding, I sent him a short text to ask if all was good. He immediately put me at ease and told me all is right, he was heading to the venue, as he likes to get there early. When my bridal party and I got to the venue before the ceremony, he gave me mad love and helped to organize our entrance. I didn't have a wedding coordinator that day and definitely didn't feel that I needed one with Dennis around. He understood what needed to be done and helped to ensure the start of our big day went off without a hitch! As the bride, I'm running all over the place to ensure everything is good to go, saying hello to everyone, etc. Dennis made sure we were in the right spots when we needed to be, checked in on us to make sure we were good- drink & food wise, and took all apprehension out of my mind. The dance floor was crowded all night long, playing all sorts of great music to keep the party going! All of our guests told us how awesome and how much fun they had at our wedding, which is definitely what we wanted and what Dennis promised! I can tell you, Split Second Sound will be recommended to all my friends for weddings, parties, anniversary parties, work meetings, and anything else! Thank you Dennis for being a great DJ and making our big day as awesome as it was!!!!
