Since before Neil can remember, he has had a passion for music. His first job, as a young teenager, was working in a recording studio at Carowinds amusement park. Three years later he started working for Sound Choice studios where, in 2000, he meet Vinny Esposito and almost immediately started working for Split Second Sound. Neil started by running live sound for local bands to large concerts and then started assisting Vinny with DJ jobs. In 2003, Split saw an immediate increase in the DJ side of the business. By 2005, Neil had his own reputation as a DJ who was on top of all the new tunes coming out and was promoted to Lead DJ. He still won't talk on the mic, but he can rock a party with his music! In 2008, Neil designed and developed the Audio Visual (A/V) system package for Split Second Sound, allowing Split to offer a visual sensory impact to the already remarkable sound quality. Neil's lap top mixing, CD scratching and other equipment allow him to do what most DJ's can not. He's versatile, he knows what it takes to get a party going and what it takes to keep them dancing all night.

22 September 2012 It was all amazing. Everything was perfect, Neil kept music going and eveyone was dancing the whole time. People are still telling me how amazing the wedding was, and a big part of that was thanks to Neil and I cant remember the other guys name. Im HORRIBLE with names, but they did an AMAZING job. The songs getting edited and the introductions, they nailed right on the head.

Split Second Sound did a WONDERFUL job at our wedding! When I had previously spoke to the DJ Neil before the wedding I had told him the age range of the people that would be most likely to dance and he nailed it! I was SO surprised at the amount of people on the dance floor! When the night was over everyone was so bummed, they wanted to keep dancing! The DJ and MC played "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey and asked everyone to surround us in a circle singing to us and the pictures from that are unbelievable! We also had a monogram from the lighting on the floor and when the dance floor was so crowded you couldn't see it, they moved it to the thick trees in front of the dance floor which looked AMAZING!! Split Second Sound is the BEST!

The day of I really didn't have much time to give them last minute details but they handled them perfectly. DJ Cleer did everything I asked him too and the music he played was right along the guidelines I asked him to follow. Neil was AMAZING!!!!! I work in events and had high expectations- and he STILL blew me away!!! He had everyone dancing from young to old and I got so many compliments throughout the night about him. Our guests loved the variety and seamless transitions. He was even ready when my new Husband went up just before our exit with the request for the Virginia Tech favorite- "Enter Sandman" that got everyone super hyped up for our exit. It was a blast and we will definitely recommend and use again in the future! Thanks!!!!

We were absolutely thrilled with Neil and Mark! They did a great job keeping a crowd on the dance floor without being pushy. They were even able to get my 82 year-old grandmother on the dance floor. Not only that, but they were able to work with my husband to help him as he performed a magic and juggling routine with his friends. I can't tell you how many people have complimented our reception, and made a special point to say how much they enjoyed the DJs and their music selection. My husband specifically asked that mention how much he enjoyed when they had everyone circle around us and sing Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" to us. He said that unique experience made the night even more memorable for him.

My husband and I were so thrilled with our DJs- Neil and Jonah. We didn't worry about a thing all night and were sad when it was time to leave the party. Our event was FABULOUS!!!! Eric, Neil and Rashaad were amazing as were the party motivators. We have not stopped talking about how great they were and how they kept the kids and adults engaged the entire evening. 1 August 2009 Neil and Rashaad did an excellent job for both our ceremony and reception. We left the music selection for the reception up to the DJ's and they did a superb job choosing songs. Rashaad kept the entire evening exciting. They are a little expensive but I feel you get more than what you ask for and an unforgettable wedding!

19 April 2008 As you know, we are new this year and had to scramble a bit to plan for our prom. Since we have no senior class and most of our students come from larger schools, we didn't want them to feel like they were missing out on anything. One thing that almost got lost in planning was a DJ. You know you have to book the location and DJ well ahead of time and we were not able to do that. We called Split Second Sound & DJ Svc and they were available and we are so glad they were. All the comments I've heard were the prom was nice but the DJ was great. The students came and stayed and danced all night. The DJ had live video feed where the kids could see themselves as well as music videos and he really got them dancing. Anyway, sorry to sound like a commercial, but if you need a DJ for prom or anything else, call them. They really made our prom a success!"
